There I was, creating my Wix online store, with a simple goal of doing it over the weekend. What could possibly go wrong? I get to the part where I upload products and I realize that the prices are in my local currency. I don’t mind my local currency but I’m not sure my clients would share my sentiment.

After pressing all the wrong buttons for a while, I realize that this is a Wix curveball and I need to detail the process. Let’s go through the process of how to change the currency in your Wix online store.

Step 0: Login to your account

You need to access your Wix online store if you are going to change its currency.

To login your account on Wix, start by navigating to the homepage.

The image and theme may change but the layout won’t change much. At the top right of the homepage, you will have the option to login, or Get started. You can use Google to Sign in if that is your preference. It is faster than writing everything down and having to memorize your password; it is safer too.

If you choose to Sign in with Google, follow the process to completion. Google will ask for verification that it is you and that is pretty much all you’ll need to do.

If you click on Log In, you’ll get multiple options to log in. Note how you can use this to Sign up too.

Choose your option between Google, Facebook or Apple, and follow the instructions from there. The other alternative is to type in your email and password.

Go to Dashboard

After successful log in or sign up, Wix will redirect you to your account home. It looks something like this.

It has a list of your websites. Pick the one with your online store and click on it.

Go to Settings

Clicking on a site will take you to its dashboard. Here is how the dashboard looks.

To the left, there is a tab with links to other pages. Click Settings button.

Choose Language & Region

Clicking on the settings buttons will direct you to the settings page of your site. Here is where you set control various aspects of your online store.

Find the Language & Region button and select it.
